You’ll learn how to make pens from plant materials and crayons from natural pigments in this fun 3hr workshop!

When: Saturday, Sept 19th, 2020, 10am-1pm

Where: Deloraine House, Deloraine

Cost: $160pp

What to bring: Refreshments and a light snack will be provided. Please bring lunch if you need and a water bottle. A couple of jars to take your ink and paint home in.

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. The room is heated/cooled.

Learn how to make paints from plants, rocks and dirt. We will whittle bush pens and write with charcoal ink. We’ll also use the pigments we make to make our own crayons with local beeswax.

I won’t give too much away but this workshop is really hands-on, its messy, therapeutic and so much fun.

No experience is necessary and anyone is invited to come and learn!

Each participant will make and take home:

  • one bush paint
  • one ink
  • a few crayons
  • a few pens

All materials provided.
