Learn how to make a large basket with foraged local materials in this hands-on 4hr workshop.

When: Saturday June 29th, 10am-2pm

Where: Deloraine 

What to bring:

-Refreshments and a platter lunch will be provided. Please bring lunch if you have specific dietary requirements and a water bottle.

-Secateurs and a flat head screw driver.

-Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy or an apron.


You will bend and weave your day away in this fun, relaxing 4hr workshop.

You will make and take home a large dogwood basket at the end of the workshop.

This introductory workshop is designed for beginners with no experience of basketry, as you will learn the necessary skills to make beautiful and practical baskets. The workshop is all about exploration and play – not perfection.

Note: It does require repetitive hand movements and some hand strength, however, so anyone with wrist/hand issues should be careful and will be encouraged to take breaks.
