Description
You’ll learn how to make a series of different sized rubber prints and stamps, you’ll print cards, paper & fabric in this 3hr workshop!
When: Saturday, July 20th, 10am-1pm
Where: Deloraine
What to bring: Refreshments and a light snack will be provided. Please bring lunch if you need and a water bottle.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.
This workshop is an introduction to rubber carving, using modern materials to make your very own carved stamps, block prints and landscapes.
You’ll learn to plan and carve a rubber block using carving tools, transfer an image or sketch to rubber and how to make a print from the block.
You will make:
- your very own stationery stamp
- 1 x A5 designs
- 1 block print pattern
- a set of cards
- a set of prints
- a printed calico tote bag
Please bring some inspiration images or sketches that you would like to make into a print – some ideas include flowers, plants, animals and or objects.
All materials and tools are supplied for this workshop. You’re welcome to bring additional papers, scrap book and or materials to trial.
No experience necessary. Ages 12+
