You’ll learn how to make a Lino stamp and a large Lino cutting, you’ll print cards, paper & fabric in this 3hr workshop!
When: Saturday, Feb 24th, 10am-1pm
Where: Jackeys Marsh
What to bring: Refreshments and a light snack will be provided. Please bring lunch if you need and a water bottle.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. The room is heated.
This workshop is an introduction to lino carving, using modern materials to make your very own carved stamp.
- You’ll learn to plan and carve a lino cut block using carving tools, transfer an image or sketch to rubber and how to make a print from the block.
You will make:
- stationery stamp
- block pattern stamp
- landscape A5
- a set of cards with your own image.
- a set of prints on handmade paper
- a printed calico tote bag
Please bring some inspiration images or sketches that you would like to make into a print – some ideas include flowers, plants, animals and or objects.
All materials and tools are supplied for this workshop. You’re welcome to bring additional papers and or materials to trial.
No experience necessary.
