You’ll whittle your own Huon Pine animal in this uniquely Tasmanian 2hr workshop within the bustling Deloraine Markets!

When: Saturday March 2nd, 11-1pm

Where: Deloraine Markets, Deloraine Showgrounds  

What to bring: Please bring lunch if you need, a water bottle and a cushion or chair to sit on. 

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. We will meet under the big tree at the entrance gate.

We will whittle (carve) two of the most revered timbers in the world, Huon Pine & King Billy Pine. Endemic to the wild west coast of Tasmania these timbers carve like butter and smell even better, making them the perfect beginner timbers.

You’ll learn safety precautions, correct technique, sanding grades and you’ll take home a finished animal carving, 5x5cm roughly.
