Join us for a bushwalk and forage for delicious Milk Saffron Mushrooms!

When: Saturday, April 10th, 2020, 10am-1pm

Where: North Tasmania, Location will be specified upon booking.

Cost: $70pp

What to bring: Basket or bag, water bottle, sharp knife. Please wear comfortable, warm clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.

 

Creamy, meaty, crisp, delicious!

In this hands-on outdoor class you will learn how to forage specifically for Saffron Milkcaps or Red pine mushrooms (Lactarius deliciosus). They are easy to identify with no other similar looking species making them the perfect beginners foraging mushroom.

Emphasis will be placed on safety, best practice procedures, environmental factors and mushroom characteristics. This is a relaxed, community-inspired gathering. We will cook up a deliciosus plate of mushrooms for all to taste!

Kids are free with a paying adult.
